84 Bucking under boost... fuel pump?

Distributor cap seemed a little worn, the inner electrodes were all melted. The new motorcraft has a solid center electrode that touches the rotor, where my old one was spring loaded.... didn't expect a change like that... rotor and plug wires seemed fine but replaced them anyway. Re gapped to 32, going to drive it today

Yep, rip roaring again!! It was definitely weak spark and/or spark blowout. I probably tipped the problem over the edge when I put in new plugs gapped at 36... 32 is the way to go for sure.
