I'm new to this forum. Joined in 2013, haven't been back since. I've got an '83 TC that I've done a lot of work on and am wanting to know how much it's worth. Is Kelley Blue Book's estimate going to be sufficient, or given that this is a collector vehicle, is there a different resource I can use? Is there a member here that is an authority on TC values?

Jon, The 83 are rare because not a lot of them were made/sold (12,566 units) and there just aren't many left. It's debatable whether the TCs have yet achieved actual "collector" status and I'm not here to offer opinion on that question. By all means see what KBB and NADA et al. have to say about pricing. That gives you a starting point. If you documented your outlays (receipts and invoices) and perhaps have pictures of the progress on the car and are interested in organizing that in hopes of getting a higher price than KBB or others then you may want to get the car professionally appraised. You can find appraisers listed in Hemming's Motor New or maybe check with auto restorers in your area for appraisers.

I've tracked the NADA high and low values every January for the last few years. Not sure what happened, but the value on a 84 TC tanked a year or two according to NADA. Rare, yes, sought after, no.
