Someone was posting a few months ago that had one, so it can be done. Not much room in that engine bay, though, and I think he had a special hood.

Try contacting Total Performance in Clinton Twp., Michigan. (586)468-3673
They used to offer a 460 swap kit for the Fox chassis cars.

if you are putting a v8 in a tc please go somewhere else in post....i shed a tear for everytime a turbo coupe becomes a v8 it just isn't right if you wanted a v8 then buy the v8 model or even a mustang....if you aren't going to do that....there is the door and don't let it hit you on the way out

In the pic it looks as if the 460 would have clearance issues with the abs stuff. I know the Esslinger aluminum head and intake clear all the stangs and early TC's but the 87-88 with abs hit. Just a heads up.
NO TC and NO headaches.

As long as it is still an intact TC body I'm all for it. Too many TC's are being parted out to supply other 2.3 fanatics with a drivetrain for their notch or pinto swaps. If the body is still intact it can be swapped back.

I really think if more TC owners on here would post the results of their mods(either 1/4 mile times or dyno numbers) people would realize these cars can be made very fast and stick with the 2.3. Some people won't be happy unless they have a V-8.

Wah. I shed a tear every time a guy swaps out his 283 in a Chevy truck for a big block when it wasn't a factory option. My VIN says the car is still a Turbo-Coupe, only difference is the engine and transmission. It's his car, he can do what he wants, and this is a source of information from *usually* decent people that have done a lot of things to their cars. If the car isnt FACTORY, then is it wrong? Did you put a K&N on your Turbo-Coupe! Shame on you!

That's fine but you don't need a 460 to go fast. The 2.3 can be made just as fast.
NO TC and NO headaches.
