I plan on tearing into this tomorrow morning, but thought I'd see if anyone can answer two questions on how a master cylinder(in this case an SVO MC) works.

1.) If you were to plug off the port for the rear brakes so no fluid could leave the MC, would you still get full pressure to the fronts, or would the piston not be able to travel far enough for that?

2.) If the front brake calipers for some reason, couldn't travel far enough for good braking (stuck piston, collapsed hose, etc..), would the rear brakes not receive their full pressure? Same reason as question #1?

Can't help you with how a MC works, however I can suggest help with the rear disc conversion. The Lincoln Versailles 1977 to 81 used rear discs with a hydro boost that works off hyd. pressure from ps pump. These provide ample pressure, are small, and provide superb brake feel. Common conversion for corvette etc. Haven't done this conversion on TC but should bolt in. These can also be found on Dodge diesel. Good Luck.
