Perhaps i'm getting a little greedy here, but when ya spend 1300$ on a new turbo you want to pull the most out of it. so from what i've read the DP is the biggest improvement even if everything after it is stock, so i get to thinking has anyone done a 4" downpipe? would it be worth the extra effort?
i was thinking to get a 4" downpipe and then size it down to 3" at the cat.
Am I insane for thinking this?

Really no point in going to 4". There are single turbo 5.0's with 3" dp's making over 500hp. A 3" is more than enough with a good elbow off of the turbo.

Why settle for 4"? Go for 5 or 6" Remember size does count!!! [Image: biggrin.gif]

yea but finding something to reduce 6" to 3" is kinda hard, not to mention fitting it in there and somehow mounting it to the T5 flange.
In that note, i was looking at getting Bob's elbow and downpipe. i notice most downpipes don't include the elbow/wastegate flange, i bet thats a lot of HP to be freed up right there.

Brother-in-law just got a 40' motor coach with a 370HP Cummins engine. I told him that the turbo looks to be about the right size for the TC. I could use his IC, too.
