I want to run a bigger, 3G, alternator on my 88, but on the pa-performance site, for the 87-93 mustang upgrade, there is a small case and a big case alternator. Which one would be better for me, since i really dont want to modify the alt. bracket. I'm running a fully stock electrical system, if i go with an amp and sub, it'll only be one 10 or one 12. Not that i cant modify the bracket, i just dont want to if the small case alt. will bolt right in and work.

The small case alt is a 95 amp AFAIK. The 130 amp has a larger case. Even the 95 A one is an upgrade over the stock 65 - 75 A stocker.

Although, it REALLY is worth it to install the 135 over the 95. I had the 95 until it exploded on me, so i upgraded to the 135, i noticed an improvement immediatly, no more dimming, etc.

If you have the time, I recommend doing the little modifications necessary to install the bigger alt. especially if you plan on upgrading your sound system later.

It's not that hard to grind away the bracket a little - it doesn't take much. If you have access to a die grinder it only takes a few minutes.
