1988 Turbo Coupe A/T For Sale

Hi,

Looking to sell my Turbo Coupe.

• 150K miles
  
• Rebuilt Trans 6k ago by previous owner.  Shifts strong.
  
• Blue on Blue
  
• Moonroof
  
• A/C
  
• A/T
  
• Newer heater core
  
• Interior in great shape.  No tears or rips.  Some fading on back seats at the top.  Female seat belt stays are gone.  Belts work fine.
  
• Everything works
  
• Body in great shape.  No dents.  Was repainted at some point.  Sides are good, but top surfaces show where they didn't prep real well.  Bumper rubber has some spots showing "yellow" primer.  She a 5 footer. 
  
• Dual Power seats
  
• Recent Items: New hood blanket, distributor, wires, cap, rotor, plugs, 4 shocks (Monroe), muffler, belt tensioner.
  

I've kept up with the maintenance and it runs alot better than it did.

2 issues.

• My mechanic says one of the trans lines is leaking by the trans.  (Leaks about 1 quart every 6 months)
  
• Will need a head gasket.  (leaks at the back, but no water or coolant in the oil) My mechanic has check it twice.  If you need a winter project, this is it.
  

This is super clean car with a ton of potential.   If I don't get the price I'd like, I'll fix it.  If you're gonna swap out the trans for a manual and beef up the engine, then you're gonna have to fix these things anyway.

I'm definitely wondering if it's still available? I'm interested and 3500 seems fair. It will take me a little while to save that amount. Would you accept a deposit to hold it? Also. I'm in Southern Oregon so how does one ship a car lol

I'm in no hurry to sell it.  I'm actually saving up to fix it.  If I fix it, it won't be $3500.  It'll be about $5500.  Most of the folks on this site are really mechanically inclined but I am not.  I can do basic items but have never rebuilt an engine or any other major repair like that.  I've gotten a quote for $1900 to fix the head gasket, but that also means: water pump, tensioner, belt, basic head work (cleaning, inspection and resurfacing).  So....that's why the price would go up.  I still drive the car to the grocery store once a week to keep the everything lubricated, but I don't jump into the boost.  I drive it like an old lady.   The first owner was a Pilot and took good care of it....the last owner only drove it 4k miles in the last ten years and the engine and trans are really strong.  When I bought it, I knew it needed a valve cover gasket and was sure it wasn't a head gasket issue.   To my surprise, after 6 months it was.   But, like I said in the ad, nothing is in the oil...it's just weeping in the back.  That being said, I've see alot of junkie TC's out there...this is not one of them.  If you'd like more pictures, I can send them.  

Shipping is really up to you.  Call around for auto shippers and get a quote.  Maybe you'll be surprised.  I'll think about holding it.... but what would be your deposit amount and how many payments?   I'd be happy with half down and half in 30 days.  Then you'd have to make a decision if you want me to fix it or not.
