17x9 Wheels with 235/45-17 Tires Ok?

275/40's here, too.. the only issue i had was rubbing the nipple on the strap that holds the boot on the quad shock.. a slight, quick turn to point the nipple down and everything clears fine.. 235's are really narrow for a 9" wheel.. would give it that stretched tire appearance that ricers are into, where you're actually riding on the top edge of the sidewall.. i don't even run 235's on the front 17x8's.. i'm running 245/40's, but only because the car is lowered 2" in the front, otherwise i'd still be sitting on 45's, like i used to
87 TC: 5spd, started B234F head swap (overall setup changing), Quarterhorse, T3/T4 63 a/r, 3" exhaust, walbro 255, tubular front clip, 5 lug swap, 17x8 front/17x9 rear cobra r's, wilwood 4 piston calipers (rear only, for now), lightened 471lbs so far
