Just picked up a set of 17" 4-lug Cobra wheels. Worn out set of 275/45s on them right now, looking for a little stagger to fit the profile of the car. Still have the stock 16" snowflakes on it right now.
Anyone on have a recommendation on tire size for the 4 lug cobras? Not really sure what size to go with.

what width? 17x8 all the way around? i have 245/50's on the front of mine (because i'm not a fan of low-pro tires) and they rub a little when i hit a hard bump/pothole, with the wheel turned. can't give a recommendation on the rears, because i have 17x9's on the back.
87 TC: 5spd, started B234F head swap (overall setup changing), Quarterhorse, T3/T4 63 a/r, 3" exhaust, walbro 255, tubular front clip, 5 lug swap, 17x8 front/17x9 rear cobra r's, wilwood 4 piston calipers (rear only, for now), lightened 471lbs so far

What 84TBirdTurbo42 said sounds right to me. I have 18x8's and I run 245/40/18. 245 is measurment in milimeters, and the next number is percent of the with so you can calculate the right size or look online for stock diameter vs. new diameter tire size calculators to stay with the stock diameter.

The set I have is all 17x9s. I should also mention that I'm using 2000 Mustang GT Springs up front and the stock springs in back.

all springs cut 1 1/2 coils, 275/40/17 on 17X9 4 lug R. Needed clearancing front and rear fenders.
I would imagine 17x8 w/ 245/45/17 would probably be OK
