I wouldnt put much faith in the cops radar. Radar could have been out of calibration, especially if the cop was moving at the time and getting bad ground bounce to find his speed. Police radar has been known to clock a tree going 70 mph. Cop could have alos locked in on another car and thought it was your brother (BTDT).
One half way decent way to check calibration is to fing one of those radar speed warning signs that shows you speed as you approach it. Lots of police depts around here use those. Just e sure you are the only car passing it, and get the reading when you are fairly far from the sign to reduce cosine error, which causes the radar to read slower than the car is actually moving.
