Hey all,
well I got to work about 8:00 hoping to be out about 12:00 noon, and have my exhaust all done, YEAH RIGHT! The right side tailpipe was nowhere near close to fit.
I had to heat and twist the right side tailpipe so much I was totoaly pissed! It hit the gas tank, the bumper cover, frame, Almost 700.00 for a system made for my car, bull sh%^$! I had to heat and bend that tailpippe to fit! Then I tighen up the system, and 2 offf the clamps split open, what the f%@&#, I thought this system was made for our cars?
Sorry, I just had to vent! And by the way in sounds great, not to loud, but the Authoritive rumble they said. I want to hear other experiances if any?

Why don't we ever learn? Your problems have been well documented over the years by others like you including myself and it seems that ATR product purchases for our cars happen in spurts. When enough time passes that the ATR grumblings decline due to lack of sales, a new crop of "unknowing" 2.3 turbo enthusiasts start buying their stuff again and the grumblings start again. Maybe we should make an entry in the FAQ section, so that this doesn't happen. And.... Do not buy their even shittier header. It's almost guaranteed to crack.

Wish I heard more bad things about this before the purchase. Didn't they even try to fit one of these exhausts on one of our cars to check for for quality issues? And what is up with the right side hanger, I had to gind it off, shorten it, and locate it 2" forward of where they had it, and re weld it on! Why didn't they just make it like the left side, as I did. Who else has one of these systems and had the same concerns? or is it just me?

I don't have the TC system. I had the duals for an 86' SVO that I formerly owned with similar fitment issues. My stock ride height SVO had problems with the fitment as well as the mufflers scraping on the ground on dips. I won't even begin to tell you how bad their external wastegate is either.

Geez, Bill, that sucks. I wonder if their mandrel benders are accurate, and produce repeatable bends?? My system (on for about 5 years now) fit fine with no torching, bending, etc. I seem to remember it taking me about 1/2 day to hang it with the car up on jackstands. The tail pipes are even exactly parallel, which is more than I can say for the Dynomax after cat duals I have on my 86 Tbird 5.0.
