Alternative AC Compressor

Is there an alternative for the AC Compressor on an '88 TC? I know for sure that I have an IRCM problem and a bad clutch. It would appear that now would be an ideal time for replacing the compressor too. Has anyone looked at using brackets and compressor from a later model Ranger? Can all accessories be changed and upgrade to 3G (unfortunately I have already done this), power steering pump, AC compressor etc?
