My passenger-side door glass came off of the plastic clips. I went to the glass store and asked for some urethane adhesive, per the tech article. I explained the problem and the documented fix; the guy said that a urethane adhesive would be too gooey to hold the glass effectively, and said that what was most likely used successfully in the FAQ article was a form of epoxy. He recommended against using this because of the possibility of gluing the clips on in the wrong place; it would be virtually impossible to get them back off, and the door glass could run crooked and break.
Instead, he gave me about 10 feet of a tape they use for this application. It feels kind of like a more pliable version of the stuff roofing shingles are made out of, it's not really sticky at all. I put a U-shaped piece of the tape in each clip and pressed the glass down in. It was a very snug fit, but I was still quite skeptical that it would hold the glass.
It's been about 2 weeks and I've used that window many times, it shows no signs of coming loose. The glass shop guy said that it adheres with pressure and heat from the sun. I just thought I'd mention this fix because it's a lot easier than drilling holes in the clips, waiting for the glue to dry, etc.
