Speaking of Gas Tanks - TCx2 - 05-10-2001 On my 88TC White... I get a gas smell when I have a full tank. It looks like I might be getting some seepage along the seam but it is hard to tell. I've never had the tank down in a TC. Not sure about the later models, but a 86 LSC Lincoln tank is the exact same as the 87-88 TCs. RE: Speaking of Gas Tanks - Turbocruiser88 - 05-10-2001 Kevin, my experience has been that the seal around the pump eventually works itself loose somehow. My current TC does it now, after a cheap pump replacement job. Of the 5 TC's I've had, 2 have done it, but I just recently figured it out. Anything I should especially be aware of? Obviously get the tank as low as I can before I try to wrestle with it. Drain as much gas as possible so it doesnt weigh much. Easy way to do this: Disconnect fuel line from filter outlet, and attach a few feet of fuel line to the filter outlet, and run to some gas cans or another car. Locate the EEC test connector under the hood, and hold it so the row of 4 terminals is on the bottom. Run a jumper from the bottom right hand terminal to ground.
