  Rear Brake Rotors
Posted by: SteveX82 - 05-15-2001, 08:10 PM - Replies (14)

Inspection time is coming up for my 87 tc, so i've finally gotta buy new rear rotors. does anybody have any suggestions about what i should get? i'm hoping to go the cheapest route that i can (ford didn't have them in stock and wanted to charge me $125 each). i checked online at carparts.com and have found prices ranging from as low as $42 up to $165. i basically want the cheapest i can get, but i also want to make sure i'm getting the whole assembly (is it even possible to only get part of a brake rotor?, i doubt it).

also, how difficult is it to change the rotor? it looks like it should basically come off pretty easily after rotating the caliper back, but will i need any special tools that i should knwo of beforehand? thanks for the help again, guys. it's been crunch tiem lately regarding whehter or not to even keep the bird anymore, but at this point i think i'm gonna hold onto her for at least a bit longer.

This company make good high quality stuff.
They do not as of now make it for our cars. They DO state on their website that they will do custom orders and will work with clubs on group purchases and will bring out something new if there is a demand for it. Surely enough of us here need it that we can make it worthwhile for them?
If enough of us contact them we can make our cars leakfree and wind noise silent again!
I have emailed them hopefully a lot of us will.

I switched the bad turbo out of the newer TC and now when the car is at idle I can rev it up and it get's into boost according to the factory gauge.
I can hear the turbo spooling up.
What would cause this to do this?
Thanks

  Moonroof Weatherstripping
Posted by: Noname - 05-15-2001, 12:44 AM - Replies (9)

Does anyone know if the same style of weatherstripping for the moonroof glass has been used on anything else? My seal is very ratty and probably will start to leak soon. Ford has obsoleted the original stuff (big suprise) [Image: frown.gif]

Anyone have any suggestions?
