I got tired of driving around my horrible looking half primered 88 TC, so for the last 2 weeks, I have been spending EVERY free minute of my time finishing up the body work, removing trim, sanding, masking, painting, color sanding, buffing, installing trim, etc. The wife is pissed because she hasnt seen much of me for the last 2 weeks either.... "Are you going out to the garage to work on that $%&# car again???" was all I have heard for the last 2 weeks out of her. Well, it is finially 99.9% done, and I am pretty happy with the results!!! I would call it a great garage paint job... not up to professional standards, but it looks great unless you look very close up and stare for a while. I'll snap some pics later this afternoon, and try to figure out some way to post them... Dan, if you are out there, could I E mail you a few pics, and could you post them on your site or in the showroom?

Glad to be back!!! I did most of the major body work and rust repair last year, and left all the "little" stuff until this year. Its that last 2% that takes forever!!!! Hell, removing all the trim took me a whole day, and the loose trim covered most of the basement floor. I did a 2 tone paint job -- black under the bump strip, and a wide black stripe over the hood, roof, and trunk, with the rest of the car midnight blue, so the masking took a little while also. I should have some pics by tonight, so I'll send them off to Brian or Nate tonight or tomorrow. Only problem is now my wheels look like crap compared to the rest of the car. I am thinking of some polished Cobra Rs with somke nice new rubber, if I can sneek that past the wife.

Hate to bring up an old topic (ok, fine, no I don't [Image: biggrin.gif]) but what kind of primer did you use? And did you sand/primer your entire car? My clear coat and base coat is flaking on the whole car so I'm guessing that I have to sand and primer the whole thing before I have it painted. Is this the case?

Welcome back Jeff, I totally feel you on the whole wife thing---I have not heard the end of it from mine---I have heard the same line from her that your wife has said--lol. I have seen some garage jobs that look absolutely great so dont knock it just yet. And hey to everyone else--I have been pretty busy with the motor on my car so I have not been around either. Put some pics up Jeff
