Well, guys I'm new to the TC list, and am sorting out an 88 TC snatched from the jaws of the crusher. First question:

My ABS and Brake warning are on. Pump runs, got these codes. 23, 34, 76.

What do they mean? My code book does not list ABS codes! [Image: frown.gif]

Secondly, will 89 Supercoupe seats bolt in to an 88? I found a nice set cheap.

Thanks, Jim
Code23: Left front outlet valve problem

Code 34: LR ABS sensor continuity problem

Code 76: ???

Did you pull those codes from the connector under the hood, or the one in the trunk? If you got them from under the hood, those are EEC-IV codes.

Thanks for the codes, guys. Where can I find the ABS codes posted? Has anyone done it yet?

I'm still curious about the 89 SC seats.....

Well I am not a 100% on the seat rails, but I am almost positive that seats them selves will have a multi type bolt pattern on the bottom for it to bolt on to the rails from the tc. However, you may have to do some wiring for the lumbar motors?

i don't think it's on the site. i have the Ford shop manual and quite a bit of other resources.

And i think Jeff just pulled the codes from his memory. LOL [Image: biggrin.gif]

Jeff is pretty smart on these cars. Jeff, can i download some of your knowledge? LOL.

By the way Jeff, i think you did a great job on the TC. Good paint job.

Where can a person get manuals. I have a Haynes already. Everyoneknows how bad they are.

Jim
BTW, on that outlet valve code, do y'all have any insight into what corrective action is required?

You can probably buy them from www.helm.com

But last time i checked, they were out of stock of those books.

You might try a used automotive book store on the internet. Might get a great deal on a used set.

If you want, i can try to dig up some contact info on a auto book store that i know of that handles some used shop manuals.
