Hi

I have an a4ld in an 88 stang with an 88 TC Turbo engine. Just put a bronco radiator in so that my volvo IC would fit too. Got the rad from a junkie. Now I have everything installed, just to find that the inlet for the trans fluid in the rad has stripped threads (lower) and trans fluid is pouring out (and yes I used teflon tape).

If I get an aftermarket transcooler and install it, can I use it without having to use the cooler in the rad too? Obviously I can not use it in series with the rad trans cooler, only as a replacement for it.

Thanks!

Yes, as long as the cooler is a good quality / large enough one.
