Hey guys, well i finally have finished doing bondo and painting my car. I used dupli color spray paint because I couldnt afford paying 80$ on paint but i am very pleased. I also buffed and waxed it so here are some before and after pics.

that last picture that fender was bondo'd and painted, it matched pretty well there.

Overall i am very very happy. This was my first time ever doing bondo, buffing, and painting. I have to say for the most part my car looks brand new. I just felt the need to share this with you guys.

Nice improvement. I think body work is an art form.
Hey that looks pretty good. I need to do body work on mine too. I've got some rust forming and need to catch it before it gets very bad. Its still easily fixable now. I'll be changing the color of the entire car, from the bergundy to black. It won't be show room quality as it will be a DD and I live on a dirt road ( 1 mile either way to pavement). I'll just be happy with it being shiny, and no orange peel or runs.
oh definatly man. What i have learned from this experience is use the bondo tool that comes with it. Put on thin layers cause that stuff is a ... to sand. Just make sure to take your time because it all looked good with primer on it but once i painted it you could see all the flaws. But its all good its my first car and my first time ever doing this. Its all worth it after its done.
What amazed me when I did my engine bay is how sweet that twilight metallic blue looked when it was new as opposed to what it looks like after 20 years of weather
Looking good Vince....damn Michigan really hard on these 80's cars.

So now is the time for a turbo upgrade?

I think it looks great, want to paint my XR7???

Travis, I used spray paint and from the pictures it looks nice but the colors don't match perfectly. It looks awesome from far but if you look close you can tell. As for a new turbo, I'll have to save alot of money. I havent even hit 18 psi on my IHI, the most I have hit is 15 or so. I have a DIY boost adjuster but no matter how much i twist the knob it wont boost that much. I'm thinking of just buying a gillis. [/b]
Gillis are good pieces, the one on my XR7 still works perfectly...hitting 25+psi everytime I drive it, after 4.5 years.

If you cat is plug the engine will not be able to get rid of extra exhaust gases... More than likely you may have a wastegate issue.
