I am the proud new owner of a 1988 Tbird TC. Actually I got two of them, the other is a 1988 parts car. Will be spending lots of time bringing this 133,000 mile bird back to her former glory, but I look forward to the task.

This site has tons of information I see, and I look forward to getting to know you all better.

One question though. I need a new front facia and bumper cover, and have found the sources extremely limited. I would go for an updated aftermarket one too if I could find one. Any ideas??
Welcome to the site and congrats on the T/C. There is tons of info on this site and you can use the search feature to find anything you are looking for. If you need parts (some are harder to find than others) Check out the parts area of the forum. Good luck and post some pics of your car soon!
Welcome, the saga begins.

You probably can't find NOS facia and cover. Put an ad in the Wanted to Buy forum. Other places to watch are Ebay, maybe Craigs list. Also check the ads ar Turbo Ford, http://www.turboford.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Aftermarket stuff is rare because nobody is making it anymore. Keep an eye on the places listed above.
Congrats on the TC's. Fun cars... This is a great site.

Travis
Welcome, and thanks for joining the mountain-west elite segment of NATO. We are very few and far between out here...

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, glad to be among you all. Also, as per requested by zbird,,, pics of the two tbirds i bought.... and if you are curious, yes they both run. The black has 113,000 miles and the blue has 165,000 miles. Both turbos, both 88's. Hopefully the black will be done soon...and yes I have driven the back one,, the suspension is soft on regular but much better on firm,,, think it needs shocks pretty bad...

Anyway, enjoy the pics...

I believe you'll find that the biggest hassle with these cars is finding parts.... like the ones you need. There aren't many Tbird or 2.3T guys around my area, so its a real mother finding parts that don't cost a ton to ship. Keep at it though, and you'll find what you need.

Good luck with your developing addiction.
well, I tried to post pics,,,lol

Welcome aboard, couldn't link to your pix, maybe try again. Like Pete D. said, all kinds of parts can be found if you snoop around on line and are patient. I've seen a couple of header clips for the 1987-88 TC's on Ebay the past month. I just did a search and didn't see any right now, but I'm sure one will pop up there before long. I haven't seen the front bumper covers very often, there's a rear one Ebay right now but it's a used one, not perfect.

Also keep and eye on the "For sale" section of the NATO forums and the Turboford.com forums.
You just have to watch and wait.
