Well, All day yesterday it snowed here in Texas. We got 12" and it is nice and cold. The one bad thing is that we don't have the snow removal equipment you have up north. The main roads are ok but the neiborhood roads are snowed over and slick as hell. I can get out with my F150 and go anywhere but there are many who can't get out of thier driveways. I didn't have to go to work so I will spend the day in the garage working on the car (thank god I have been blessed with a big garage). But one good thing, it will be around 50 deg tomorrow and sunny so the snow will go away and maybe I can get the bird out for some fun.

Dom
We dodged the bullet here in Austin, had a little sleet and wet snow flakes, and 2 days of very cold rain that was bad enough. If we had been 2 or 3 degrees colder it would have been a mess down here too.
Well Zbird....I can't really say I feel bad for you, we haven't seen 50 degrees in four months and the foot of snow we have now is not going to melt away anytime soon...all this great weather and we get to pay $11,000 a year in property taxes too!!

Where is Al Gore with all the global warming stuff...I think he's in Antarticia driving around in a Hummer with a flamethrower trying to melt the icecaps.

Stay warm!
we are now getting the leftovers of your storm. started about 3 and is supposed to snow for the next 8 hours but only accumulate 2 to 4 inches...
Global warming my a**. We got the most snow ever in a day and we had a white CHristmas too! Like I told my Aunt in the Laurel Mountains of Pennsylvania, they blame all of this on mankinds putting gasses in the atmosphere but what about one volcano erupting and putting out more in one day than mankind can in a year. I guess they are gonna build some biga** filters to put on those too!!!
I have a 36" tall bird bath in my back yard. We haven't seen it since the second snowfall! The bad news.....6" more forecast for tonight!
^^ LOL!!!
You are slightly misquoting. IIRC Mount Pinatubo (sp?) put out more CO2 and sulfur than man has in the last CENTURY.

Thats my point about these nuts. I agree we can do better but going overboard with this crap is driving me nuts. If you notice they push this ethanol crap and it makes the cars get worse mileage, produce more NOX, and co2. So they are just running in circles the same as all these politicians talk. Just makes me sick. Rant over.
Dan, i hear that. As im sure you know southeastern pa had a 28" storm then 20" 4 days later and then another few inches monday... crazy year. There is too much snow to even think about working on my car..
