While replacing the tires on my car the other day, I noticed a tiny bit of left-right play in the left front wheel. Closer examination showed that the play is in the outer tie rod end. I thought to myself "I thought I replaced that rack (including tie rod ends) just a bit ago."

Here is the post where I discussed the orignal replacement. Note the date - May 2001. Only about six years and a hundred thousand miles ago. I guess I got my money's worth out of those tie rod ends.

While searching for the above post, I read a lot of my earlier posts. Wow, I have done some stupid things while working on this car. Even so, the car has somehow managed to survive my maintenance and almost 120,000 miles since I bought it, and still have nice mileage, decent a/c, am/fm/cd, and working automatic or power everything except transmission, which is manual. Those NATO dues have really paid for themselves.

If only there was a NATO home repair site...
These cars are really forgiving, bro.
