I used an K&N RB-0900 because it was a little smaller. It barely fit over but it did go on.

Kuch: does it fit cleanly underneath the VAM/air cleaner mounting bracket? Or is modification required?

I used AEM 21-2036DK its a non-oiled filter and easy to clean
not really a fan of K&N oiled filters on anything lol

Pulling hot under hood air into the engine isnt the best idea. Put the filter in the fender, in front of the core support. etc.
