North American Turbocoupe Organization

Have a new aux shaft and distributor I am planning on swapping into my 87 turbocoupe as the distributor gear seems to be wearing down some an looks quite a bit thinner than the new parts.

Questions are...

The aux shaft doesn't have the drive pin and I can't seem to get the pin out of the old shaft...  I didn't try real hard as I don't want to mess it up.  It may be better to just find a new drive pin but I don't seem to be able to find one.  I guess I could take the parts to a machine shop?

I have a new seal, however I was not sure about the thin gasket around the aux shaft seal housing... should I just get a new front cover seal an cut off the part around the aux cover to use?  It doesn't seem like there is much to seal up?

i would just get the front cover set and cut the aux cover gasket off of it.
as far as i'm aware the aux shaft is all on piece.

That's what I figured on the gasket... Gasket set was on wholesaler clearance for $2.99 at rockauto so that was nice. Took the aux shaft to a machine shop to take care of the drive pin. I guess I could have tried to source a new pin which the shop may do anyhow if they have trouble getting the old one out. The new shaft has the drive pin hole in it, just no drive pin. It is a Ford part I picked up quite a few years back
