Just below the passenger side door. Took the bird out for a drive Sunday, got home parked the bird and as I was working on my truck I smelled the gas and noticed where it was dripping.

Thoughts?

The fuel supply and return lines run along the outside frame rail on the pass side, as does the EVAP line to the charcoal canister.. Find the exact source of the leak and fix it. Simple as that.

The rubber hose has a crack/break just under that passenger side rail. Looking to replace the entire line but before I do that please tell me it doesn't go to the top of the gas tank.

It isnt rubber, it in Nylon. And yes, it goes to the top of the tank.

You wont find exact fit replacement lines for a relatively rare car from the 80s. You will have to buy bulk Nylon fuel line and fab up your own. The only PITA is getting the fittings into the Nylon line. I havent looked, but I bet there are videos on U tube explaining how to do this.

You could always just cut out the bad section and just replace the bad section with new line. This repair should be as good as a new line front to back.

Tank is easy to drop.

Thanks. Both rock auto listed a 5/16's rubber hose. I will check out the nylon and check the difficulty. Thankfully the tank is very close to empty so I may do this spring of next year. Just need enough gas to move the car into the garage.

Do NOT use rubber hose! Under boost, fuel pressure can come close to 60 psi. Most rubber fuel line is only rated to 80 psi. Nylon line is rated to a few hundred psi, which an acceptable safety margin.
