I found this article on the SVO site talking of removing the inline resistor to the fuel pumps, at least in the SVO, https://www.svocop.com/forum/showthread....ire-Bypass , Do we have this same set up in our Turbo Coupes? Thanks
Early 2.3T's had 2 fuel pumps, a low pressure in tank pump, and a high pressure pump mounted on the frame rail near the rear of the car. The resistor was in the circuit to the low pressure in tank pump. This does not apply to your car. Your 88 has one pump in the tank. Stock pump is a pathetic 88 lph that even when new could barely supply a stock 2.3T. Most of us upgrade to a genuine Walbro high pressure / high volume pump with even a lightly modded engine.
I have already replaced my pump with a Walbro 255, easy swap. Wasn't sure on the resistor though. thanks for the clarification
