Hello everyone. I'm going to take Lorain on the road this weekend for a short 500 mi trip. Whew. It'll be a run and back. Get her get out on the interstate to stretch her legs and see if there a couple Mustangs jealous when they see this wonderful piece of machine that rolled off a line on 10/87. Is she the fastest car in the world? Nope. Is she the prettiest? Absolutely. GREAT DAY out and about with the TURBO COUPE!
Great looking TC! Have fun on your trip. These cars are amazing road trip cars.
Thank you. I hear to keep the "revs" up. That's when they will shine. And get some attention from all around.
No need to "keep the revs up" when cruising down the interstate at 70+ MPH unless you come across a 6% grade. Just stay in 5th gear unless you need some rapid acceleration or need to climb some steep grades. If you go over 2900-3000 RPM PCM goes open loop and runs the engine richer and gas mileage takes a significant dive.
ðŸ‘ÂðŸ‘Â. It sure was nice hearing that WHOOSH today between shifts as I let out on the clutch and "let" down on the gas-EASY-I was really gettin' in. The "whoosh" sound can be heard when I go into 1-2-3 -then it disappears in 4 and 5? Turbo boil off-or an anomaly? Maybe something that is still left from the original factory sound at 38k? Is it a song we forgot on the 87 or 88's. Music to my ears. ðŸ˜Å
That's a great looking TC. Years ago I got some very admiring looks from mine; I'm working on getting back to that.
Meanwhile, with the 30 year "vintage" you should really be getting some attention, just hopefully not the stereotypical "Southern Deputy" kind
Enjoy!
