This is as much a rant as anything else as I continue my 2 hours per week head gasket replacement.

I see the oil line to the turbo sitting in my box of parts and NEITHER manual I have (ford shop manual or clymers?) says anything about it.

Anyway, 2 hours into trying to get it where it belongs and it's there, but I need a crows foot socket to tighten the nut. Bright side is that I get to go by more tools, down side is that I feel like I've been in a fight with 3 people.
That's one of the reasons I went with Stinger's oil line. Much easier to get in and out.
You do not want to reuse a used oil line that's been sitting open. The oil varnish buildup on the inside can dry out, flake off and block the oil passages in the turbo. Ask how I know about this. As further evidence of bad practice, many places will not guarantee a new turbo unless a new supply line is used.
Wow. Thanks for the tip, Pete, I did not know that. Sounds like you unfortunately found out through a less-than-pleasant experience.
Yes I did. I got to have a turbo rebuilt twice in rapid succession. :banghead:
