All I can say is it was DISMAL! 39 degrees...cold...cold...Mine was pingin like CRAZY...too much intial for the 20 psi boost...car "felt" better but only ran a 2.498 60', 9.727 1/8 at 76.70 mph, 12.556 1000' with a final of 14.990 and 90.65 mph...I'll reset timing to 10-12 and see what happens...maybe not tomorrow...I may have "hurt" it tonight??? Just didn't feel the same on the way home...we shall see...There's always next spring !

Yeah was the best of 2 passes...people were breakin...I'll agree with quit playing with the timing...and they do like boost!
Don't you hate when things don't go your way. 2 runs for the whole night stinks. That didn't give you any time to fool with it. Or practice.

...it sure looks like a Sat. day is the best time...I'll make my adjustments tomorrow morning and see how "she" responds...may or maynot go again til spring...I'll see...

We got rained out tonight, but there is still Saturday and Sunday to go. Tommorrow will bring out the big dogs for the big purse, but I will get at least two time trials and the first round of eliminations anyway, maybe even buy back for another round if its running

Reset timing and went for a spin...still pulls good with no pinging but...gettin smoke on decl now :eek: lettin it cool down and will pull plugs and see what they look like...I may be done for the year
oh well...I do have a short block ready and almost done with another head maybe I'll put the a238 in this one
Looked at the plugs...kinda sooty and sticky...changed the plugs... it's sluggish on acceleration then pulls hard...pull the shift and PAPOW :eek: backfiring thru the exhaust :o It's gotta be runnin rich...guess I'll start with compression test and leakdown then fuel pressure,etc. looks like I'll be pullin this one down
