WARNING! This is a buggy post, saw a while back that at least one on here didn't like us "Buggy" types posting....... :-).......... Also posted on the other forum!
For those that have followed the "project" and have helped me for the last 7 months, I thank you, and leave this account...
1st day home with the engine it slipped off the truck and fell on my leg and foot; result, 3 crushed toes..
1st trip to the dunes found the new turbo had too long a rod on the actuator for the WG..., only 5#'s boost.
Now with the addition of the IC and some other up-grades I'm on my way to the dunes for the long weekend and just 10 miles from the turn off, on wet 2 lane hiway, a young girl doing 70 coming at me and loses control and, you guessed it!!!She missed the motor home but nailed the trailer right on the wheel tearing the axel out from under the trailer and catching the left rear wheel of the buggy. Fortunately she wan't seriously hurt but totaled her VW Golf. After about an hour wait for the California Hiway Patrol, standing in the rain, and reports finished, I watched the trailer and buggy go down the road to the towing yard 150 miles from my home. sigh.......Returned home to sit and pout all weekend.....Maybe I'll drown my sorrow in Bud Light......yea, that's the ticket!! Hope your holidays went much better!!

I think I will be OK on reinbursment for the buggy damage. She was driving 70 in the rain and lost it going around a long sweeping curve. Hit the dirt and over corrected and "BINGO" came for a visit!! It is a narrow 2 lane road in the middle of no where. Maybe she was playing some hanky panky with her boyfriend that was with her. Who knows? after all "she" is a woman driver. Sorry if there are any girls on here......:-)
Wow, 70mph in the rain AND on a curve. Was she blond?

hmm.......a girl in Ca.......probably on a cell phone! If that's the case, all that's missing is a mini-van! This makes me nuts!
As far as I'm concerned, if it's got a 2.3T, I'll read about it. Back in my Glamis days I never thought about it. I saw some pix of some 2.3T buggys. Way cool. A friend of mine back in the days had one of the Pinto Beans rails(2.0T)& it was cool. He also had a 2275 4-seater & a 215 alum. V-8 mid-engine that was in Road Warrior(totally butt-ugly when he bought it with all that armor that was on it). But.....everyone sold their toys or just didn't go anymore.
Hope everything goes ok with the rail.
