So I pulled the motor.. not so soon after the rebuild (metal in oil filter). The metal I thing comes from one main bearing being a little offset (needs a line hone, no copper came through though... just polished bearing from parting line to parting line) and the brand new cam bearings. The top side of the cam bearings look worn in now - I don't know how normal this is for new bearings.
I had the motor laid over 45degrees so I could undo the mains and get the crank out. Initially, I wasn't going to pull the head but since I've decided on the line hone, everything came off the block. Intake and exhast are still on the head. Tonight, when I set it back upright, a pool of oil came out of the exhaust elbow. This is a fresh rebuild T3. Considering the turbo was the low point while it was tilted, is it normal for the exhaust side to bleed oil the way it did?
