Hey fellas! Looks like i'm going to be getting back into the scene here. My twins are almost 2, and i'm finally getting some free time, and a little cash. I'm looking to get into a DD TC. See my wanted ad here ---> http://natomessageboard.com/ubbthreads.p...Post242853

I hope to see some familiar faces here, and hope to meet some new ones. I'm looking to get back into NATO as well. Membership is likely, and i might be interested in taking on an active role in the site again.

Anyways, a little about the last two years. I moved to FL, for no real reason. I wasn't able to keep the gold car i loved so dearly, and i regret to say that i stripped her and sent her off to the clouds. I miss that car daily, and even though i know full well i could never have repaired all that was wrong with it, i still regret letting it go. I then took a bath on the house i bought in FL, moved again to Columbus, Oh to be closer to my wife's folks. Were renting now, but looking to buy this summer.

I still have the blue/blue 88 'check off' every option TC that i bought in 2010, but rust and and an electrical fire have led me to a complete tear down and rebuild. its currently in about 12,000 pieces in my dads barn. look for project updates when and if i ever get time to get it finished.

well, that's enough for now. ill talk to you guys more as i get time. i was wondering if anyone who's been here a hundred years could give me a recap on the most important happenings with those on the board i would know. for instance, i know that there have been issues with Bob Lees health, but i don't know the current story. i know BOPORTS shop went to hell over a divorce, but hes getting things back in order. things of that nature would help me get caught up on the last 36 months of changing diapers and working 60 hours a week.

thanks fellas,

Thanx for checking in Jon, good to hear from you. Been mostly biz-as-usual with the Nato camp, but your right about some of the TF boys going thru it.

I feel like we've always been the more conservative and reserved branch of the family tree, at least online anyways... Smile

I've been joking about moving to FL myself, and have actually been working in the mortgage biz for about 18months now. Kids are getting big and bold, car's still a work in progress, and I still have too much to do & never enough time or money. Like I said, biz as usual... Big Grin

Welcome back Jon.

Do you still polish the tailigts and headlights?
^^^^ +1

Good to hear from you again! Hope you get another TC soon.
Rod - not at this time. the process of doing it to the quality you would expect from me is far to time consuming for me at this time. for my previous customers, i may be able to do something on an as available basis, but i can no longer provide lights, or do tail lights. i may be able to restore a set of 6 fronts, but thats about it.

Welcome back!
Hey Jon, welcome back. Can you smell Carlisle in the air? Ahhh the smell of burning rubber beckons.
Welcome back, Two 2yr olds? My son turned 2 in December and I couldn't imagine having two of them to chase after. Glad to hear that you still have the blue bird. Hope to see you in Carlisle in june and I plan on having the cookout at my house in mid august again this year also if you can make it. Of course don't forget about Dayton in September. If you get over this way let me know, I'm up for lunch, beers or the casino. Eric (Mr.Gofast)
thanks, turbobike! wow, theres lots from ohio, i guess i didnt realize how many nato mambers were from here when we moved. arizona and florida were TC deserts compared to here. speaking of which, does anyone know of a guy who lives near plain city, has an 87 and an 85 on blocks in the yard, he lives backed up to SR 33? i see his cars every day on the way to work, but never see him do anything with them.

thanks PeteD. yeah, id like very much to go to Pa this year, but it is unlikely. the wife and i were planning to go, but a recent back injury required me to use a weeks vacation, so im short the time off. i wouldnt have a bird to drive anyways (not that you guys would care), so there wouldnt be anything to do burnouts in...

BirdJunkie, they arent two yet, about 20 months, but yeah, its a handful. boy-girl-twins are a hoot to watch grow, and as a parent im blessed to get the chance to experience both genders. sometimes they are quite similar, other days its like they arent even related! Smile

the blue bird was our wedding car, so its unlikely that ill ever let it go, but ill probably be toting my AARP card by the time i drive it again. LOL Dayton is almost a guarantee, well bring the kids down so everyone can meet them and they can see the cars daddy has been obsessed with for close to 10 years.

id love to get up around Pa, there's a lot up there for me, family and nato family.

i got in touch with mike R last night, and it looks like he may have a "winged warrior" for me. ill keep you all posted.

carry on!

-Jon
Hey Jon, good to see you back here. Update on the black(formerly blue) 88 TC you gave me. Just pulled the motor last weekend getting the engine bay dressed up and painted then in goes a 2.5 stroker/alum head/2277/ect... Long list of parts but it should make some pretty serious HP. See what you did to me? Big Grin
