gear oil in a non WC trans and auto trans fluid in a WC trans.
Looks like an '83 casting number to me, which would be nwc.
It is a 83-84 T-Bird trans and a NWC. Oh well. Are NWC worth anything? or should I just leave it in the trunk when I scrap a parts car?
I should disclaim that I am not a tranny expert and could be wrong about the date there. I am just going off what I know about Ford casting numbers and how they relate to build/release dates on most ford parts.

But if it's an early '85 or earlier T5, and it came out of a TC, then it's Not a World Class box.
How to I.D a T-5.........

It is a 1983-84 NWC Ford T-Bird/Mustang 2.3 T5.

Check the chart here and you will see that the 1352-018 # identifies it as such.
