As some of my other post will show, I'm looking to upgrade my tc soon. The problem I'm already seeing is I'm thinking I will be pushing the limits of the stock clutch and wanted to see what you guys thought.
so far just a k&n air filter with a cold air setup from previous owner.
I was looking into;
BOPORT 1.9 cam
MSD6AL-2
MSD Streetfire coil
255hp Fuel pump
Gillis boost valve
Custom 3" exhaust all the way to the bumper
vac./boost gauge
wideband o2
From what I've read the limit on the stock clutch is about 250hp isnt it? And I feel that the above modifications will exceed that number slightly. If it was just street driven I wouldn't worry about it, but this tc will get to see the strip occasionally since it is only about 7 miles away. If I do need to upgrade the clutch, what is a good one to go to. I dont mind a heavy clutch pedal as long as it holds whatever I throw at it. I just don't want to spend a arm and leg for it since if I'm going that far I'll probably go through the tranny to make sure it is up to par.
