Last night driving home in the first taste of winter weather I was reminded of the infamous Turbo Coupe Anti-Traction Control. That neat, sometimes fun, sometimes scary option where once the wheels slip the turbo spools and there is no hope for traction.

On a side note, after much thought. I have decided that my 87 TC is a much better performance car all around than 2010 Police Package Crown Vic. Stopping in the weather last night was better in the Vic but I think that was the tires.
ABS systems have come a long way in the last 25+ years, but the "primitive" TevesII system on the TC still gets the job done reasonably well, IMO.
Speaking on the "ABS" subject. Is it possible to convert to 5 lug and retain the abs ?
Convert over to Vac-assist brakes on the TC. Problem solved.

The Crown Vic was meant to be a luxury cruiser, not a performance car. Go drive and then compare your car to any 4.6 powered Mustang or Mark, then get back to me. Smile
It's hard to compare my TC to cars that are perpetually in my rear view...
This crown vic was a P71. It is meant to be performance.

Nice pedestrian slicer on the hood.
Ya. It lights up too. The MSP patrol car has a few odd traditions in it. That's why I love them.
