I am thinking about putting this spoiler on my bird. What do you guys think?
I have to say don't do it. The deck lid is so short on these cars, it looks cluttered with a spoiler, and the lines of the Thunderbird already look great. BUT, in the end, it's your car, and you should do what YOU want with it. Get a second trunk lid, paint it to match, install the spoiler, then you can go back to stock easily. Just a thought.
Im going with Vinnie , get 2 deck lids . that way if ever you can go back to stock . 1 of my birds will have the motorsports whale tail on it . But I have a back up deck lid too . wait and spend the money on the right one . Rdog has one of them , look at his .........SCya .....D.Wilder
while you're at it, go for some lambo doors...
Actually thought about it but the doors are way too heavy. Joking

I'm going with a smaller spoiler and a second deck . Luckily the car doesn't go for paint until next month so I have time to find one and get everything painted at the same time.
I like the little character line that ticks up right at the rear and looks like a mini "ducktail" spoiler....

Actually, it's the exact same character line as what's on my 1993 Tempo 2 door.

This is the Tempo GLS spoiler for the late 80's GLS coupe.....In my opinion, it's very, very well executed, and something similar would look great on our cars.

I'd pass on the one you have posted. It looks too...rounded. Like the mid 90s Mustangs. These Turbo Birds were too 80's to have such a rounded off 90's piece, in my opinion. It would look out of place.
Viper, looks like your using a mid-late 90's mustang GT spoiler. This is what it looks like finished. I still have another trunk lid without the spoiler, compared to the rest of the car the rear trunk lid always seems a bit too plain, so I wanted to try it. Might get tired of it but for now I like it.

I'd wouldn't do it personally, it just doesn't fit the car. Something like the Tempo GLS spoiler above, that actually flows with the lines of the car would look great though. The spoiler that they used on the 80's NASCAR T-Birds has always looked great on our cars as well.
Thanks TurboE for the photos, they helped a lot in the decision making. BTW your car looks awesome.
I personally like the spoiler I have!!! Not actually on yet, but some test fitting has been done on the rusty trunk lid.
