Seems like my luck with this car has run out, i started my TC to pick up my fiance from work and a large amount of oil smoke was coming from the tail pipe, more than the little from the valve seals, well i didnt let that bother me much. i pulled out of the driveway and it stalled, started right back up took off...only 5-7 pounds of boost and bucking like a bronco, lots of oil smoke from the tail pipe behind me. make it the 5 miles to her work and back and notice its not smoking at idle, just when revved. i havent really driven it hard, except yesterday i made a few hard pulls. its really a let down and i dont have the money to fix or the time really. i may be posting it for sale if i cant fix it soon
The first thing that I would check for is shaft play on your turbo. If there is alot there then the seals/bearings went out. That is not a big deal really, just a day to R and R the turbo and $150 or so for the rebuild kit. I rebuilt mine, and I have not had a problem with it.

Some folks here say that the shaft has to be rebalanced, with the wheel, but since the shaft is balanced and the wheel is balnced, then it really should not matter. Just make a mark with a paint pen on the shaft and the comp wheel before taking it apart and align the marks when you put it back together and you should be all right.

i'll go check that tonight, i did notice alot of oil in the vam, when there wasnt any before. any recomends on venders for a rebuild kit?
so, after sitting for a few hours when and started it took it around the block, runs great...until warm so TFI is the problem from what im reading, but the smoke seems to only be when its warm too, very little play in shaft. it also back fired tonight then wouldnt idle worth a crap, and every time it would try to die and i gave it alittle gas it would smoke like my mom at a bingo parlor then clear up smells more like gas know then smoke.
check your fuel pressure use this and fpr.
