Hello,
I've been told that when lowering the Tbird I'm to use Mustang lowering springs.
I'm wondering what year Mustang springs to buy.
I know the old Fox body Mustangs are lighter in weight than the later Mustangs. What is the weight of the Tbird?

Also, my memory makes me think the later model Mustangs sit higher from the factory than the earlier Fox body cars.
Should I buy the 99-04 GT spring because it seems like the height is about the same? I want to be sure I lower it atleast 1.5 inches.
Thanks

P.S
I'm sure this has been discussd before. Why doesn't NATO archive these topics?
Thanks again
i have been told to use stock sn-95 springs, not lowering springs. i have a set. PM me if you're interested.
I'll keep you in mind.
I just want to do some research first before I make a decision.
I want something thats alot stiffer than the stock T.C springs. Does anyone happen to know the Tbirds spring rating?
Thanks
An easy cost effective way to go, is pick up the SN95's and the adjustable lower control arms from che performance. The fronts will work fine, but the rear will squat down. The adjustable units for the rear will allow you to fix the squat.

I put SN-95 springs in my Spo.........I mean Thunderbird....and it brought it down about an inch and a half or so all the way around.
Aren't the SN-95 springs softer than the TC springs though?

Yes, thats why it really dumps the car. P_roblem is it dumps the car a lot in the back. If you guys do a search you will see the issues that past guys have had.
Hey guys,
I did some searching and found this place. Someone here has purchased a set of these springs before so I just requested a quote.
These guys look pretty awesome.
Take a look.

Ok guys, I got my quote from coil spring specialist today. The price for a set of 2 fronts at 30% stiffer rate and 1" drop is $206.
The rear set of 2, also at %30 increased rate and 1" drop $199. Grand total $405

I'm thinking this is the best way to go. If the Mustang GT springs provide a stock ride/feel..., then I want something stiffer.
I just need to know what the T.Cs stock spring rate is. I'm not sure exactly what %30 increased rate is. I'm just bumping my rate up %10 more than the other guy (Matt S) has.

So would eibach be good to go with? Probaby best to go with a new set for a sn-95, a used set may be a little saggy/worn
