Question One: i dont have the original paint code, cause some jackass ground it all off and painted over it. so id like to have the original paint code color for the dark blue metallic used in 88 on TC's.

second, to those with this color TC, what have you found thats close? i have to paint a small section under the belt behind the rear tire, and the bottom section under the belt of the door. possibly the trunk lid too, if i can really come close.

i just bought T0410 indigo blue from AutoZoo, in an 11 Oz can. its close, but seems a shade dark. im going to go paint a piece of metal and let it dry and check it out. just wondering what you guys have found that's close.

Question Two: id like NOT to paint the trunk lid, but there is a set of circular scratches in the clear about 12"x12". they look awful when the car is clean, but disappear when its wet. any chance i can cut/buff these out, and still have some clear left? how thick is the clear?

The correct name is twilight blue-sorry I don't have the paint code.
So what I saw online was right, ok go to http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?im...d-pg01.jpg if im reading it right the color chip formula is 4069 and the paint code is M8290A. I would still double check on the web site.

You'll be safe with buffing the paint out, just make sure you use 3M when buffing Smile
