Hey everyone,I'm restoring my 85 TC and have a question about the trim around the windows. The car is black with grey along the bottom. My question is,on the moldings that go around the side windows, and the windshield and rear window, the paint appears to be kinda like a dull or flat grey color. Is this correct? Is it supposed to be flat or a glossy grey like the bottom of the car?Is there a certain paint for these moldings?
Any help greatly appreciated. I want to do this car right.
Thanks, Joe
I believe it's supposed to be flat trim Black. It just faded over time. The 87-88 TC's window trim is also flat Black.
Here is a couple 85s from the Showroom. I only looked in A-D. There are 3 more sections.

I got hold of an original 1985 sales brochure, and there is a pic of my exact car in it and it is really hard to tell whether they are black or grey.Same thing goes for ther mirrors and the headlight trim pieces.
I just want to make sure that the car is done correctly. If anyone out there has an 85 and can tell me for sure, I would appreciate it.
