I painted my turbo coupe but about 8 of the rear window molding clips were too rusted to reuse. I tossed them out only to find out I cannot find the clips anymore. Does anyone know where I can find new clips or a clip that would hold the rear window molding in place?
even used ones would be great.
Check with some of your local body shops or glass ompanys. They usually keep a large assortment of winsheild and moulding clips. Some other models will probably work maybe even other makes.
When I got my TC the back glass was loose, you could slam the door and the glass would jump out about 2 inches. And some of the moulding clips were gone.It seems like I found some chrysler clips that worked.
I've been looking for these clips for two years now. Been to glass shops, body shops, parts stores. The glass shop I use went through his catalogs and checked with his suppliers and couldn't find any narrow enough to fit so I think that when I install them again I'll put some butyl tape in the gap and press the molding in.
Seriously I bought some for some model (I wish I could remember) Chrysler product and they worked. They didn't look exactly like the old ones but they were close enough that the moulding clipped on fine.
What year TC? The moulding clips for '86 are still available.

I've tried about every glass place around but came up with nothing.
It's an 87 turbo coupe.
I WAS THINKING ABOUT using the tape or adhesive but Ill use that as a last resort.
I have also done the web search and no luck there either.
I had a few of those fasteners, but I think I tossed them all. Give me a call and the next time I go to Harrys u pull it I will pick some up for you, unless you want to take a ride out that way. 917-731-4836
