where can I buy touchup paint for my 87?Med. canyon red is the color I believe
Your local auto-body/paint supply store can make it for you, they will just need your paint code.
Thanks,I was shur hopen there was a can of spray paint I could go buy somewhere. So much for the easy way out.I have a big spot in my engine compartment that I need to fix before I put my engine back together.Didnt want to brake out the compressor and gun just for that.
Some paint stores can mix it and put it in a spray can I have heard. Call around.
Will do thanks Pete.
Most auto parts stores, down here in SoCal anyway, have spray cans of most factory colors for any car. I've never had any problem finding touch-up paint. Hmmm..
Around these parts, most of the Auto chain stores,(Auto-Zone) only carry touch up paint for newer vehicles.I couldn't even get it for my 99 F250.As Yoda said, some paint stores can put it in a spray can for you.I paid $18.00 for them to mix the paint and put it in a spray can.It was a dead-on match and worked perfectly.
the spray cells are about 10-12 bucks just add what needs to be sprayed (thinned of course)
Would you use touch up spray paint for rust removal (after sanding and priming)? Cause recently i bought a spray gun and was also wondering where and how much i could get paint for.
I used single stage spraycans from NAPA to paint my engine bay and I was very happy with the results (see cardomain in sig). I wouldn't use it to paint an entire car but for an engine bay it worked great to get into the tight areas and for control.
Not all NAPA stores have the machine to do it but ask around, there are other places that carry them.
