I'm glad I got 2 of them. For anyone thinking of drilling and tapping the boss for a temp sender, beware the temp sender will crash into the t-stat and could prevent it from opening. This is what I discovered on the first one tapped straight in as close to the edge as I could.

So my second one I tapped at a pretty good angle and then ground out part of the boss to allow the angled sensor to sink into the threads more. I'm using liquid thread seal on it. I'll post if it leaks or not.

The only other option would be to use an adapter to set the sender out more. When I contact David about running more of these I'll find out of the boss can be made thicker to allow a wider variety of temp senders.

Here's the picture of the first holes I made. In this position the sender did not clear the rubber gasket that surrounds the thermostat, but did clear the metal ring around it. When screwed halfway in, the sender interfered with the springs of the thermostat - or crashed into them depending on the rotation of the thermostat.

On this one I drilled at an angle, note the divot I made with a dremel to get the sender in farther.

I drilled out the boss, and used a good amount of JB Weld to attach a fitting to the bung to screw the temp sensor probe into. The probe sits about 1/8" from the thermostat.
Jeff, I'm curious as to what temp ranges you see on the cyberdyne, so I can compare with my averages using the stock sender hole on the block, and also to see if I have to get yet another sender.
