So do I drive my car back to the hotel every night or leave it there? Are in and outs easy?

What if I wanted to leave Sunday at noon, can I get my car out during the show? Is there anything special I would want to stick around for on Sunday? We may want to go to Chicago Sunday to see some relatives since they have Monday off.

What are you going to do...walk? LOL, yeah, just drive it in the gates in the morning, and home in the evening. When you first arrive, you will need to sign in, and they will give you a sticker for your windshield that acts as a pass for the rest of the event.

Thats a realtive question. You can drive right out of the fairgrounds. Traffic in and around Carlisle is really tied up, and a "wrong" turn puts you ont oone of their "alternate" routes that take you about 60 miles into the country, ask me how I know that one Wink Bu

This is what I usually do, just leave around noon on Sunday, that gets me home before supper. Its not hard to get out, just a little crowded. The "parade" for the winners is on Sunday, but the rest is pretty much winding down. They do give away a car at the event, and you need to be present to win. Last year it was a Merkur.

Yeah I was wonderin'.. So it's a mad dash-er-wait- at the end of every day to get back to the hotel. I'll keep the tent open. Wink

And the drawing, it's a 4:59pm Sunday right? Big Grin

Probably mad sales transactions at the swap area.

Or 5:01 depending on how quick the sundial refreshes Big Grin
On Friday and Saturday, many of us get there pretty early, like 7:30 AM, and leave later, like 7:00 PM. Traffic isnt bad at all then. Many of the main roads are often tied up, but there is the "offical NATO back roads route" to/from the Days Inn that is lightly traveled.

I usually leave around noon Sunday, and there is a kind of "back roads" way to get to the PA Turnpike that isnt too traffic clogged.
I bring Donuts & Muffins on Saturday & Sunday for all the NATO members. In most instances, I'm there washing my car by 6:30 & at the tent by 7:00.
