Since everyone knows it’s such a pain, and not all of us have access to the tools to gut/port a upper intake manifold I figured I would let everyone know that I am working on a custom upper that will be very affordable. You will also have the options of bolting a 65mm throttle body on with no problems, keeping your egr, or having it rotated to your liking for extra. This means no expensive provisional adapter, just a simple bolt-on affair! As of right now, we are in the process of getting the designed patented and are in talks of making them in polished aluminum as well. The all aluminum design will be a little lighter, and will keep IAT's lower. I will update with pictures as soon as possible. But in the mean time if anyone here is interested and would like to order one or get a quote feel free to email me at [email protected].

Thanks!

David
It's almost done now! Here are some progress pictures and pricing!

They will base at $250...which is nearly the cost for removing the EGR port, fitting a 65mm TB, porting/gutting/rotating and paying core charge for the stock manifold!

Here are the options I have available:
3" intake manifold
3.5" intake manifold ($10 more)
4" intake manifold ($15 more)

EGR (if you were interested in that, I still need to get a flange cnc'ed but that wouldn't take long) ($25 more)

Hustler Nitrous ports
Instead of running a nitrous plate kit in between the manifold and TB you will be able to setup a kit into the TB flange of the manifold! ($30 more)

120* ($10 more)
90*
Stock location ($10 more)

wow, i have a SC throttlebody i just adapted to my stock intake. this looks really good, seems like it would flow alot better too being a pipe. let me know when u have one installed on a car. i might be interested in the future instead of running my ported intake.

looks good man
2 thumbs up

Did this ever come to fruition? Have the prices changed?
No. Guy's disappeared. He was also over on Turboford and his seller "rating" is less than good over there.
Are you looking for a fabricated tubular upper?
Quite possibly....
PM with some details on what your requirements are. I've fabbed 'em up before.
Any experience making them work without removal of abs, or moving alternator?
