8-29-2010 UPDATE:
The 87-88 clutch forks have been obsolete for several years and new ones are almost impossible to find. Usually it is the throw out bearing steel retaining fingers on the forks that wear our/break off. The rest of the fork is still good.

We have been informed that NAPA carries a throw out bearing with retaining fingers built on to it. It has been tried in a Mustang swap and will be tried in a TC.
