Hey there,
I'm just curious as to the best 0-60 time achieved thus far for a turbo 2.3 tbird? I was looking around, and I apologize if I missed it, but I didn't see many numbers posted.
Im not sure on the 0-60 times....stock 87-88TC it was not pretty.
0-60 was never easy in a TC because you have to shift into 3rd before 60mph. My car is modded, im sure my 0-60 is about 4.5-5 seconds.

Layla will hit 70 in 2nd.
And Travis's #s sound right. My stock GTO goes 13.34@108 and the 0-60 is listed as "4.8 seconds".

Good thing you live in Washington, or you might have had a tough time finding a hill that was tall enough for that performance test.
FWIW:

You could peruse the Drag section here on NATO and compare the 1/4 mile ET's against that graph. Cars on slicks will vary on the faster side of the 0-60 range presented in the chart, and traction-limited top-end screamers (like Shannon's) will vary towards the "slower" side.

Wow poor Mike hes not going to have any more stones to break by the time he gets his car running!

This is what happens if you put 2.73 gears in a turbo coupe boys and girls.
Naw, tranny gearing is different. I got sick of waiting for the car to get through the loooooong 3rd gear.
Now if I was pushing her off a cliff, 1/4 mile to a cliff floor, she'd go 9.08
Stupid physics class...
Reason I ask this is because, not ever having driven on a track, 0-60 is the only sort of 'gauge' I understand.
Also, around here, with only one major highway and tons of Donut Technicians perched on it, quick acceleration is the only thrill you really get around here. I want to feel that sinking into your seat feeling as you take off... is that possible in these birds or are they too well-refined (heavy)?

I have trapped 102mph(give or take a mph) in 3rd gear many times with my TC. Stock tranny and gearing. 26" ET Streets. Not shifting above 6200 either.
