Went to Napierville Dragway last week-end. I did a new personal record with my bone stock 87 automatic t-bird. 14.21 at 94mph with 1.91 60ft.
My engine was bogging a bit before the finish line, so as soon as it's fix i'll go back to see what it does.

Is that 1/4 mile or 1000' ft? I have a hard time seeing a bone stock auto TC running low 14's.
That's 1/4 mile. And video will follow in the next few day's. The little .48 ihi is spinning to the max.I'm pretty sure after i fix the bog it will see very low 14's.
Definatly post a link to that video ha
this is the timeslip:

Im gonna put the video tonight with a picture of the engine bay....
i dont think ive ever seen any bone stock car lifting that much off the line, even on slicks. i have a full stinger 3in exhaust on my car and it doesnt feel like i could run a 15.5

im not sure how you did it, or if you bought it from someone who has done some head porting and mild cam job and u just havent looked at it

if you honestly did run that time with a stock car let us know the details on how u did it, it would be a mojr break for the 2.3T world.
If your IHI is spinning to the max, the car ISNT bone stock unless you have a faulty BCS or faulty wastegate actuator. BONE STOCK means as it left the factory (minus your indicated lack of PS, swaybars and use of slicks).

This would require roughly 292hp at the crank assuming the car weighs in around 3500lbs at the tree (which should be pretty darn close with driver and fuel minus 25 lbs for lack of swaybars). This is assuming a 17% drivetrain loss.

This would mean you car would need to be making 147hp MORE than stock, which was only 145hp to begin with, without any mods.

Call me skeptical, but this just doesnt add up in my eyes...
Is this the same "bone stock" TC that we are talking about in this thread?
