Posted this on the FordForums board(the worlds slowest site) Thought maybe I might get lucky and one of you guys might be able to help(You've answered all my other questions)and I trust you guys more than a bunch of strangers.
The #19 fuse on my 01 F250 powerstroke just blew and I don't know why. Its a 10A that protects the APCM,GEM,Idle validation switch etc. Why would it blow. I replaced the fuse and everything seems fine. I'm just wondering if I have bigger problems. Fuses don't usually burn for no reason. Can any one help?

I really don't know, but my first guess is an intermittent short to ground somewhere after the fuse. Since it seems to control so many functions, it might not be easy to track down.

1986 TC, 132k pretty well taken care of miles. k&n, gillis@16, timing @ 12 (spout out), A/C delete. 3" Downpipe (no other exhaust... Whoever described that sound as a "pissed off tractor" hit the nail on the head)

might be an indication of a control module going bad. you had an over amp problem somewhere. or a short??? just a thought
Try thedieselstop.com or ford-trucks.com alot of info there
Thanks Guys. That gives me something to start with. I was afraid it might be an indication the control module was going bad.
BTW. I got 3 responses on this board and 0 at Ford Forums(on the Super Duty board) Just goes to show what a great group of people assemble here. Thanks again
I second Dieselstop.com...
from experience sounds like a loose ground somewhere vibrating or a bad connector..
