I ordered a Kirban FPR from them in mid April and instantly recieved an order confirmation that said "Your order will be processed and shipped within 24 hours. Use the order status link at the top of this e-mail to check on you order." after a week I noticed that the order status hadn't changed. It still said"hold for payment" so I called them. Some guy who sounded like I just woke him up from a nap answered the phone and took my order# and said he would call me back. 5 hours later I got tired of waiting so I called him again. I don't remember his exact words but it was something like "Oh yeah, I guess this is your order sitting here. I was wondering who's it was. I've been busy and I should be able get out to ship it tomorrow or the next day." It's now the middle of May and still no FPR. I guess I'll call again.
After doing a search I see I'm not the first to have this issue. I don't think they are dishonest just really slow.
I had the same problem with my Kirban, took two months to get to my house. So after the third call I called Kirban directly b/c he said they were having problems producing the afpr. Ladie was nice and said they sent JDs an order the day before.
The guy wasnt mean to me just not very motivated todo his job I had todo it for him.
From this experiance I will never buy from JDs again.
I had the same problem as well with my Kirban. I got my Walbro quick but it took about 2 months to get my Kirban. JD's said it was because they went to the new billet design and had not built up the stock to meet demand yet. Although I did not have the problems dealing with JD's personnel as ya'll did, I now wonder if they were giving me the runaround. I will be cautious in dealing with them again in the future...Tommy
I heard a lot of stories on back orders on the Kirban, I guess I was lucky in getting it quickly.
GRRR. So I called JD's first thing this morning and the guy told me to email him my question, so I did. Finally at noon he emails me back and says "Did you click on the order status number? You will see the Paypal payment never went through. If you want this, please send a check or money order to the address on our website." THAT'S WHY I PHONED YOU THE FIRST TIME!!! and you said it was on it's way, there was no problem. I checked my paypal and credit card statement and luckily the payment hadn't gone through (paypal error I guess) so he is right about that. But why wouldn't he tell me that the first time I phoned? I could have had my part by now.
Where else can I get a Kirban FPR?
I've ordered from JD a couple of times, the only time there was a delay was with the Kirban. He did miss the overnight shipping on my fuel pump, but did refund me the extra I paid for the overnight shipping payment and a credit toward another order.

I ordered a Spec 1 clutch kit, on line and received it in a very timely manner
i ordered a fuel pump it was shiped out quick and got it 4 days later but being from Canada ups ground shipping wanted to charge me 45$ more than the reg shipping rate.so i called him and he told me to send it back refuse to pay for it . the next day he sent me a second one to a us address i have at no extra charge.
at xmass time took the wife and kid to disney so being so close i stoped in at the adderss he gives on his web site but it is a UPS store try to call but the 1 800 # did not work so i was screwed came home with out a Kirban.
